As I set out to paint Colonel Schaeffer’s Last Chancers, I wanted my miniatures to have distinct look from the miniatures shown on the box set. Yet, at the same time, I wanted these miniatures to capture the character-rich style of the Last Chancers box set. Thus, I drew from various sources of inspiration, both from history and from fiction, to choose the colour patterns for these miniatures. In doing so, I created backstories for these miniatures; these backstories are reflected in the file cards listed below (please press the button below to access the file cards).
